Today’s quick exercise is more a relaxation technique than an exercise, but it is designed to relieve stress and relax your eyes. Loyal reader Steve Grimaud submitted this exercise that was recommended by his doctor for accountants and others who continuously focus on close-up work.

At least every 20 minutes, you should take a 20-second break from working up close and change your focus between objects that are near and then far.

If you are in an enclosed space, you can use a photograph or a piece of art that allows you to focus on something farther away in the distance.
