Wishing You a Merry Christmas

From my favorite modern poet, Barry S. Marks:

"Blah, humbug"

Folks are afraid of "Merry Christmas"
it's silly but it's true-ish;
but I can wish y'all Merry Christmas
'cause I happen to be Jewish.

We're all PC, I guess it's fine
a kinder way, no doubt;
but please remember, all my friends
what Christmas is about.

Some things there are we all can share,
the miracle of the season;
Hannukah here or Christmas there
let's not forget the reason

why hearts get warm this time of year
it's ecumenical
and warms my Yiddisher heart with cheer
To wish MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all!
