The CLP Foundation said farewell to Cindy Spurdle who led the Foundation from May 2000 to June 2012. In appreciation of her twelve years of service and devotion to the Foundation, an award was named after her. The Cindy Spurdle Award of Excellence is an annual award given to the CLP who has contributed the most to the industry and best represents the CLP ideals. The first recipient of this award was Theresa Kabot, CLP and she was presented with the honor at the National Equipment Finance Association (NEFA) Funding Symposium in Washington DC.
