Channel Celebrates 13th Consecutive Year on INC. 5000
Annual List of Fastest
Growing Private Companies

Channel Makes the Top List of Finance Companies
in 3-Year % Growth as Noted in deBanked:
https://debanked.com/2025/08/business-finance-companies-on-inc-5000-list-in-2025/

Minnetonka, MN,  – Channel is pleased to share that it has once again been named to the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. This list offers a data-driven look at the most successful independent, entrepreneurial businesses in the nation. This year marks the 13th consecutive time Channel has earned a spot on the list, a distinction achieved by less than 1% of companies featured since the list’s inception.

Adam Peterson, Managing Director of Channel, explained, “This recognition is a testament to the relentless effort and dedication of our team members, who show up every day with a steadfast commitment to serving our partners and helping their businesses succeed.

“Equally vital to this achievement are our partners who place their trust in Channel. It is the depth and collaboration of these relationships that fuels our growth year after year."

Brad Peterson, Chief Executive Officer at Channel, added, “Being named to the Inc. 5000 again is an honor and a clear reflection of the enduring partnerships that drives our success. These relationships allow us to combine strengths, uncover new opportunities, and create solutions that truly make a difference for the businesses we serve.

“As we enter the next year as part of the Onset Family of Companies, we are well positioned to continue expanding our reach and enhancing our business, building on the momentum that has kept us on this list for 13 consecutive years.”

This year’s accolade comes despite universal challenges such as economic uncertainty, inflation, and changes in the labor market. Inc.

Editor-in-Chief Mike Hoffman noted, “Making the Inc. 5000 is always a remarkable achievement, but earning a spot this year speaks volumes about a company’s tenacity and clarity of vision. These businesses have thrived amid rising costs, shifting global dynamics, and constant change. They didn’t just weather the storm—they grew through it, and their stories are a powerful reminder that the entrepreneurial spirit is the engine of the U.S. economy.”

Looking ahead, Channel will continue to build on its strong trajectory with the support of its partners, the skill
and integrity of its team, and the opportunities created through its new partnership with Onset Financial. For the full Inc. 5000 list, company profiles, and a searchable database by industry and location, visit www.inc.com/inc5000.

Coast to Coast Race Series Relay
Mel Vinson, CLFP

In 10 days,  Mel Vinson will be running her 11th year in the Hood To Coast Race  - a 196 mile relay from the tallest mountain in Oregon (Mt. Hood) to the beach!

"This year, I’ll be taking on the hardest leg of the course, dedicating every step to those who have not made it through their battles with mental health,” she posted in LinkedIn. "It’s a reminder that the work to support mental well-being is urgent, important, and deeply personal.

"As I finalize my training and prepare for race day, I’m also working to close out my fundraiser for Active Minds, Inc., an organization committed to changing the conversation around mental health and ensuring young adults have the resources and support they need. I set out to raise a goal of $1,100 goal, set in honor of 11 years of running this race.

"For me, mental health is something I nurture year-round through therapy, acupuncture, meaningful coffee conversations with peers, and running. Running has been one of my greatest wellness tools, building resilience and focus over more than a decade.

"If you’d like to join me in making a difference, here’s how you can help. Please consider supporting my fundraiser and providing resources to support mental health.

  • $11 for my 11th year
  • $17 for the 17 miles I’ll run
  • Or any amount that feels right

"If financially donating isn’t an option right now, I encourage you to reach out to someone in your community and check in on them today. You never know what the power of kindness can do!

https://lnkd.in/gJ9wKU9Z

"Your support through a contribution, words of encouragement, cheering me on during this race, or simply sharing this cause and conversation means the world to me. Together, we can keep moving the conversation forward. Let’s do this!"

If you have questions about this initiative, you can reach out to Mel at mel@clfpfoundation.org. To donate to her fundraiser, please visit her fundraising page here:

Standing Out of Digital Clutter”
Career Crossroads by Emily Fitzpatrick/RII

Q: How do I stand out to Hiring Managers from all the digital clutter when submitting my resume or credentials?

A: If you are looking to advance your career (in contrast to just looking for a job), I suggest keeping your intentions close to the vest. Be strategic in determining whom you want to view your resume (thus announcing that you are considering a career move). I strongly recommend working with a Recruiter or Career Consultant you can trust in handling your search confidentially. They will know how to present you as an asset not just another body looking for a “job.”

For example, if you are ‘posting’ your resume on job boards (along with thousands of others), how do you expect to be “seen?” Job boards are fine for those with only a few years of experience or for those who just want a job.  We are referring to those looking to continue their career or for those looking to take the next step in their career.

Regardless, be cautious about where you submit your information and to whom you respond; e.g. even if you submit to a direct contact, does that person have a relationship with someone at your current employer? Make sure you or the Consultant you are working with, keeps your personal information private.

Additionally, any online presence should not BROADCAST that you are in the market for a new position; if you are unemployed there may be some advantage to making your situation known. Speak to a Recruiter to come up with a strategic plan of action.

Suggested Forms

  • Working with a Recruiter or Career Consultant
  • Direct Contact
  • Your Alma Mater: Many college career centers offer services for alumni no matter when they graduated
  • Employer Alumni Associations: Stay connected with past co-workers, former employees; they may be able to help you with your career plans (again, be cautious here)
  • Professional Associations

Once a strategically selected decision maker has expressed interest, make sure your correspondence is professional.  Just because you contacted them directly, do not to let your guard down.

Another tip, make sure to keep track (or your Consultant will handle) of where you submitted your credentials in an organized easily accessible manner, e.g. spreadsheets.

Cost Hikes at Nearly Half of Companies
By Geert Lombaerde, Industry Week

More than 50% of respondents to the latest Endeavor Business Intelligence poll have raised prices because of tariffs since the spring.

They’re really starting to sink in now.

That’s the key takeaway from the latest survey on tariff impacts by Endeavor Business Intelligence, the research division of Industry Week’s parent company, EndeavorB2B. Nearly 70% of the business leaders who responded to EBI early this month said the trade measures imposed by the Trump administration as well as some retaliatory actions by trading partners are “significantly” affecting their operations. Another 8% say the impact is starting to be felt now—while just 19% of executives say they don’t expect a significant impact.

“Companies most exposed to tariff-sensitive inputs or markets felt the pressure first, while others have experienced a more gradual build,” EBI analysts wrote in a report. “This staggered timeline points to a continuing wave of operational and cost challenges that may extend well into next year.”

Among survey respondents, the challenges are weighing heavier now than in May, when the EBI team last conducted a similar poll. Then, 34% of business leaders said their operating costs were up at least 11%. Three months later, that number has risen to 46%—heading toward the share that EBI’s first tariff poll from early April said was the expectation.
