The Commercial Real Estate Exposure
of the Largest U.S. Banks
The six largest U.S. banks saw delinquent commercial property loans nearly triple to $9.3 billion in 2023 amid high vacancy rates and increasing borrowing costs.
Today, the sector is facing greater scrutiny from regulators amid growing risks to bank stability. In fact, for almost half of all U.S. banks, commercial real estate debt is the largest loan category overall. While commercial loans are more heavily concentrated in small U.S. banks, several major financial institutions have amassed significant commercial loan portfolios.
The above graphic shows the commercial real estate exposure of the top U.S. banks, based on data from UBS.

Another Tesla Autopilot Crash Goes to Trial,
This Time with New Evidence
By Mathew w. Daus, Esq.
(Image: Tesla)
Another fatal crash on Tesla Autopilot is going to tria, and , while Tesla has won all of them in the past, this one has new evidence that could help the plaintiffs.
Over the years, there have been a handful of fatal crashes involving Tesla’s advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features, more commonly referred to as their brand names: Autopilot and Full Self-Driving (FSD) Package. The families of the victims have taken the accidents to trials for wrongful death at times but Tesla always won.
In the past, Tesla has shown that drivers were not paying attention at the moment of the accident or leading up to it. When using Autopilot or FSD Beta, Tesla tells drivers that they must always pay attention and be ready to take control.
Now, a new trial is about to take place and the lawyers of the family of the deceased Tesla driver have uncovered evidence that they claim shows Tesla knew it was too easy to abuse Autopilot.
The trial is now set to start next week in a San Jose court and more pieces of evidence are coming out as the court determines what they will be able to show to the jury.

Adopt-a-Dog
Jeff Rudin: The Story of Skye
“Today is a sad day as we had to say goodbye to our wonderful Skye, we rescued thanks to Leasing News about 9 years ago. I wanted to thank you as she truly enriched our family’s life.
“She was supposed to be a beautiful black lab as we got her from a Labrador rescue on Leasing News Adopt-a-Dog. Funny thing, this amazing wonderful, smart, loving and protective girl turned out to be a mix of mostly Akita, Rottweiler and many others to look very similar to a lab, but 0% lab.
"Without a doubt, the smartest dog we have ever had and an avid TV watcher, especially when animals hit the screen.
"We will miss her and am grateful for Leasing News putting us on a path towards adoption which resulted in us adopting a goofy Siberian Husky mix that was a wonderful companion to Skye.”
