Update: Ascentium vs. Premiere Copier
Ken Greene, Esq., Leasing News Emeritus

On October 10, 2022, I published an article entitled “Ascentium Alleges Major Kickback Scheme.” I obtained the information from public records. The article referenced a lawsuit filed by Ascentium against Premiere Copier Inc., Mark D. Klenin, and Tod R. North.

The crux of the allegations was that Ascentium discovered a series of kickbacks allegedly made by Premiere to its customers in excess of $3 million.

This lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice on November 3, 2023, meaning it cannot be filed again. As far as we know, there were no findings of fault, fraud, or any other adverse claim against Ascentium, Premiere, Klenin, or North.

The case is unequivocally over. Since it was dismissed without judgment, no aspersions or negative implications should be drawn by the filing of the suit or its outcome, providing a definitive end to this chapter.

Leasing News takes no position on the merits of the case.

9 Classes Scheduled May - November

The Academy for Lease and Finance Professionals (ALFP) is a three-day event designed to fully prepare an individual to sit for the CLFP exam assuming the attendee has already self-studied. A trend has begun in having virtual online sessions.

During the first two days, all of the required sections of the CLFP exam are covered in-depth. On the third day, the exam is offered but is not mandatory and may be taken on another day.
