Denotes Press Release __________________________________________________________________ Leasing News Classified Job Wanted Survey Your job wanted ads are great. Many responses. Interviewing now. Thanks a bunch! jppa100@cs.com (Leasing News has found jobs for people unemployed in the leasing industry. We have also helped companies find people in all states, from New York to New Mexico to Oregon to Colorado. Our first posting was by an attorney, who found a job in the leasing industry from our ad right away; less than two weeks. Others have not been as lucky. It is a tough market, particularly for middle-management and higher. It also may be this is recruiter territory, where the connections make the difference. Here are the results from the current ads that we polled who have give us permission to quote them. From: Stuart M Millard smillard27@juno.com Sales: Boston, MA Boston, MA (big Patriots' fan) Senior Sales person, 15 years experience, strong vendor program background, middle market concentration Email:smillard27@juno.com Yes, the ad has worked well. I have had a good many companies contact me and I am now in the process of trying to find the right fit. I really appreciate your help. I think your website gets quite a few readers on a daily basis. By the way I may want to change my ad to say "Big Red Sox fan" instead of the Patriots with the way they are playing now. Keep up the good work. ------------------------------------ From: Peter Kumiega Sales Manager: Hartford, CT Director of Equipment Lease Division with credit/collateral evaluation, marketing & operations experience. Simultaneously coordinated efforts to develop new vendor business. Email:pkumiega@peoplepc.com To date I have had at least four inquiries. Unfortunately, no one is hiring on a permanent basis. An "Independent Agent" is all anyone seems to be interested in. I appreciate the opportunity to display this ad. As I am relatively new to the industry, I appreciate the support from those that believe in supporting those that are trying to further their careers. Your service is invaluable and greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Peter Kumiega 860-749-6389. ---------------- From: DaveSchultz9@aol.com Credit: Hayward, CA. Versatile/ creative senior financial executive w/ extensive experience in varied areas of the commercial lending environment. Strong written/ oral skills with a results-oriented team-player attitude. Email: daveschultz9@aol.com
I am apparently typecast and "overqualified". It is difficult to even get HR types to consider a seasoned professional who has flexible salary requirements, but would prefer to not relocate due to teenagers in school and a wife with her own business is still valid. Had one "hit" for a position with a big firm in San Francisco, but I don't want to commute (or work) in SF. -------- Fred Anderson, CLP Senior Management: Hicksville, NY Senior equipment leasing and banking executive with credit, collections, marketing and operations experience. Background includes development of new business, risk management and budgeting. Email:FrdA4@aol.com I have not had any results from my ad as yet. I am thinking however of looking at doing free lance/consulting type work in the equipment leasing industry rather than pursuing a full time position.
----- Steve Pickens Credit: Mill Valley, CA Senior corporate officer with financial services credit background. M and A, fund raising and workout expertise. Email:nywb@aol.com One thing I find a little strange is the need for credit people in the investment side of things - yet they don't hire those with operational experience. Most investment analysts seemingly pay little attention to the operational aspects of credits and as we have seen of late this is a serious shortcoming. ---- From: SandiDQ SandiDQ@msn.com Legal: Chatsworth, CA Managing attorney for general corporate and financial services law including: leasing, acquisitions, service agreements, commercial loans, securitizations, workouts and litigation. Email:SandiDQ@msn.com Ad is still valid, no results. ------ Mike Brown brown235@bellsouth.net Phone: (954) 885-9241 Finance: Atlanta, GA Twenty five plus years experience in middle market lease/ asset based/cash flow transactions. Heavy banking and credit background, with particular expertise in structure and negotiation. Email:brown235@bellsouth.net Still looking. Have had contacts from a couple of the headhunters involved in your 'headhunter value' exchange of a week or so ago. I submitted resume; but nothing yet. ----- From Danielle Peterson ddpeterson1818@yahoo.com Finance: Birmingham, AL Admin./International: 10+years global ops mgmt. int. biz admin.w import/export/reg. compliance, global biz development, in, transaction P/L, global recruitment/training/staff mgmt. middle market to Fortune 20 account development. Email:ddpeterson1818@yahoo.com I'm still keeping the faith in the leasing industry...they can kill our companies but not our spirit (as cheesy as this sounds). As an ex-Comdisco'er, you might want to look at a website www.comdiscoalumni.com which shows the ex-employees exemplifying this positive spirit. I was fortunate to have left Comdisco on my own terms, but many others were not so lucky. The ad is still valid (unfortunately). And I've had no results (also unfortunately). Thanks for inquiring. Danielle ---------------------- From: Ted Korpolinski tkorpolinski@ev1.net Sales: Dallas, TX Director, Business Development for international financial institutions. Global vendor programs with minimum sustainable volume of $24M annually. CFO and Treasury contacts with major technology and energy corporations.Email:tkorpolinski@ev1.net
I am still seeking a position. I have had two employers inquiries from this as and that is why I want to make sure that it stays in place until I secure a job. I will be sure to let you know when I get a job so that the ad can be removed. ----- From: Jim Acee <jim_acee@hotmail.com>
Sales Manager: Atlanta, GA 15 years experience in Small Ticket Vendor Leasing. Managed sales team for eight years in Copiers, Telecom, IT, Construction, Auto Aftermarket, etc. Email:jim_acee@hotmail.com As you know, jobs for senior management in the leasing business are far and few between. I am still looking. ----- Jim Denhard Sales: Louisville, KY I have been in leasing/financing of construction, machine tool, and mfg equipment for 20+ years. Traveled KY, IN, OH and TN. Email:kyle90@msn.com Thanks to you I have had several calls from brokers wanting me to be an independent contractor. Some of these I have worked with, I was really looking to find a company who wanted to hire me on a salary + basis and have had no luck at this time. When it comes to brokers calling the web site is very effective. Lisa Renshaw . Is there a cut off time for running it? I have had results in that 6 people have called me to discuss a possible position but nothing has come to fruition. I would like to keep it going if possible. If not, I can stop it for a while and come back in later. Let me know \ Danielle Peterson ddpeterson1818@yahoo.com Finance: Birmingham, AL Admin./International: 10+years global ops mgmt. int. biz admin.w import/export/reg. compliance, global biz development, in, transaction P/L, global recruitment/training/staff mgmt. middle market to Fortune 20 account development. Email:ddpeterson1818@yahoo.com Appreciate your kindness. Perhaps with a glance at my resume you'll understand - as I was recently let go from AmSouth Leasing after relocating eight months ago from Chicago. So, even times with equity investors aren't that great!! (And don't quote me on any of that - lol.) Perhaps what might help is something that doesn't give me an absolute tie to Birmingham, Alabama...as the market is tough enough and I don't have to be tied to Birmingham as relocation is definitely an option for me. Thanks again, Danielle matthew antinarelli mantinarelli@yahoo.com Collector: Oceanside, CA Collections supervisor, experienced with commercial leasing. motivated, good work ethic, enthusiastic. call (760)941-9209 Email:mantinarelli@yahoo.com thanks for all you help during that crisis of mine. I have located a job with Ameriquest Mortgage as a loan officer and this are going well. once again I appreciate you consideration a guidance. have a great day.---- call me in any one you know has any mortgage needs at 760-431-4551
--- Greg VanDeWalker vandewalker1@attbi.com Denver, CO Thank you for running my classified ad in the last news letter. I have already received one good lead. Thanks for your great efforts! However, I am starting my own business and do not need my information posted any longer. Thank you very much. vandewalker1@attbi.com Emily Fitzpatrick Recruiters International, Inc. ELA Member Please note our offices have moved to South Florida Feel free to quote me. Thanks for your support to all those who are looking. It's still a tough market. Positions in the equipment leasing and commercial finance industries are starting to open up... a sign that the industry is beginning to stabilize. The demand is stronger obviously for leasing sales reps as opposed to ops positions, and are finding a lot of smaller or start ups organizations looking to vamp up their sales forces NOW....it's the time to do it. But we won't experience a candidate demand (candidate driven market), experienced back in the late 90's, probably for awhile! If you know of anyone in the equipment leasing or commercial finance industry that needs assistance or advise due to a lay off or company restructuring, please view our website as listed below. There are services and information that cater to these candidates. Please note our offices have moved to South Florida Feel free to quote me. Thanks for your support to all those who are looking. MSM
Capital, Irvine, California Bulletin Board Complaint Reaction I
had never heard of MSM Capital since my Bank only funds middle market leases,
but I am surprised that this business of retaining deposit checks has
been allowed to continue for so long. I understand that many small ticket
leasing companies use deposit checks as working capital during their "start-up
phase" until revenues from funded deals starts rolling in. I
guess my question is; with the amount of points you can typically build
in to
a small ticket deal, wouldn't it make more business sense to just "Do Deals"? On
an ethical note, I wouldn't dare to keep someone's deposit check. Perhaps
working for a publicly traded bank and having to answer to both the FDIC
and SEC keeps us in line, but I like to believe it is more a matter
of knowing
right from wrong. Please
feel free to print this, and keep up the good work! Darryl

Monosson Answers Bob Rodi and Others re: Cry for Education Put
your money where your "heart" is....send a check to the Equipment Leasing
and Finance Foundation and help educate the public and the students....it
takes money to make money...and it takes contributions to grow
the industry. ELFF actually has written many case studies...the latest one
put out by the Darden Graduate School of Business at UVA was written
on Amtrak/Leasing
of Acela. Perhaps you would like a copy? You want to educate students...then
send a check and help us fund more of these cases. Spouting your
thoughts on the future and your concern doesn't help. Looking
forward to seeing Lease Now's name on the list of contributors, companies
and people who truly DO want to make a difference. Sincerely, Deborah
